Laughter Is A Real Stress Buster
I have found humor and laughter to be a real important part of life. Without laughter, life would become dull and wearisome. Laughter is truly the best medicine and a real stress buster. Laughter exercises all your facial muscles and helps to put all your worries and problems behind you.
Here are ways that laughter can be used to alleviate stress:
- The vigorous and the affirmative energy that is generated by laughter drive away all your negative feelings. It helps to release all the suppressed emotions, thus helping you feel lighter. Laughter increases endorphins’ level which gives you a sense of well-being and optimism. A new research has shown that even just a thought of laughter can increase the level of endorphin. So whenever you feel stressed, watch some funny television programs or tune into one of the many comedy shows and you will instantly feel relaxed.
- When you are faced with a stressful situation, do not focus and complain about the situation. Instead, make an effort to laugh and let go of the situations. If you look hard enough, you could find humor in every situation you face.
- Now there are laughter clubs that you could join where you are taught how to laugh various types of laughter. If you are suffering from stress, join one of these laughter clubs and experience the transformation laughter can bring about.
- If you must, fake the laughter. Even though your laughter may not be genuine, it does influence your mood. Smiling even when you do not feel like smiling is helpful. Try to smile even when you are feeling low; this helps alleviate your mood. Be among friends who could help you laugh and smile.
Laughter can help brighten up any situation, so laugh and smile, tell jokes, and share love and happiness with everybody else.
