5 Stars the law of attraction from a female perspective
As a female, I really appreciated this book. Nothing wrong with the books on the subject written by men, I have a lot of them, but it’s nice to have a different perspective and this book definitely gave me a few more things to relate to than the average book on the subject. Maybe her being female had nothing to do with this, but that’s the only reason I can think of, since there are so many talented people writing about this subject.
I also liked that this book had actual “action steps” which gave me things I could do right away to activate the Law of Attraction into my life. I like reading about theory and can apply it on to my life most of the time, but the very specific action steps she gave make implementation quick and easy.
This was my first experience with this author. I have since found a lot of her material online and have really enjoyed it.
5 Stars Using your imagination to create an awesome life
While I appreciated the first half of this book which explains why we create the life we do and how to go about creating a better one, what really made this book worth the purchase was the second half–the many “games” Denise Coates created to help us get into the mindset of feeling like we have what we want before we have it. People think the law of attraction is all about positive thinking. That’s not quite it. It’s about not putting out the vibe of lack and getting into a mindset of feeling like your life is already abundant which will then attract more abundance.
So much theory has been written about the law of attraction and I love that this book gives you exact ways of how to begin to work with it to start making things change.
3 Stars OK……. Considering
Let me just say, I HAVE seen worse books on the LoA. If you’re new to the law of attraction and not given it much thought yet, you might like this. It’s slightly different than many other books on this subject. It consists of exercises, 1 in each chapter. Some of them might be helpful. Others are surprisingly…um,..not sure what word to use. Lets say, if you understand the LoA and you give a few minutes thought to creating some exercises to imagine what you want, you would have most of the chapters here. Well, kind of like “imagine you have what you want”…? Hmmm. Yes, you could do that. Or how about think of what you don’t want……yea…yea?..Ok now think of the OPPOSITE! And whammo! you have another exercise you can do, see?
Or write down how many things you like about yourself.
Or make a list of negative beliefs…and can you guess what to do after that? That’s right, this list will show you what you need to believe the opposite of. See? Do nice things for people. Yes this is one of the chapters. It gives you a few clues about nice things you can do for people, so don’t worry that you won’t be able to think of any. Now don’t get the idea that the author elaborates on these things to give you a much better feel for them than what I have written here. Many chapters are almost 2 half pages long with lots of spacing.
Make a list of all the good things about you. Well do you want to think positive or not?? Then DO IT!! OK, so what else can you think of to add some positiveness to your life. Write those ideas down, now. Find stories of people who healed themselves and read them. This will take some work, but this book will get you started by,.. well, telling you to do that. No it doesn’t HAVE any stories, but you can go find them, can’t you?? OK, so what else can you do to get some good thoughts rolling through? Huh? Think, think….think. How about this: Write a list of fun things you could do? HUH??..HUH?? Hey now you’re cookin’ baby!! And now write a list of things you want, and read it every day! Are you starting to get the hang of it?? HUH? HUH?
Well I hope you had fun with this and feel much better about YOUR OWN ability to write book s .. er..uh . .I mean lets say if you wanted to be a self help author, well you could write books for yourself to read and never have to buy any. SEE?
It just depends on how imaginative you feel, I suppose. You could very well write this book, if you want to stop for a moment and think of groups of positive thoughts or actions that you could do (and think). You know, and make LISTS. Those are cool too, because then you can list things in categories. And don’t forget about opposites of good things, because they will remind you of the opposite of that (the good things). And then you can list them, and then read your list. EVERY day, if you want. You can even have LOTS of space between each item on the list so it takes up more room on more pages in case you want to make it thick, like a book.
OK. I hope I have increased your confidence in yourself, and convinced you that you can think of things, good things, and then feel how good they feel to think about. I really don’t think you’ll need this book, but if you want SOMEONE ELSE to tell you to DO that, then go ahead and buy it.
3 Stars It’s not what I expected…
I purchased this book thinking that it will be insightful to help me with learning the tools to bringing the law of attraction into my life… I guess it did to some degree… However, what I found was that it was redundant and kept getting me to ask the same quesiton over and over again and having to participate in games to feel as though I’ve achieved my desires…
Personally, I didn’t like the games since I felt like the vast majority of the book consisted of these games… I just wished there were some more substantial contents… This was my first book relating to the law of attraction, and I think antoher book might’ve been better for me. Of course I could imagine that I had achieved my desires and try to tap into how I would feel if I had already achieved those desires… Once I was done with the book, I only felt a little disappointed because I felt like I didn’t walk away with much more than acknowledging that yes, this book is similar to other self help books in calling out for the positive thoughts within one’s mind.
I thought this book was just ok!!

This book reviews the aspects of the Law of Attraction, and keeps you on track for attracting that which you desire.
